At TSTN, we don’t run a regular 9 to 5 show. Our Network Administrator will take your calls and e-mails between 8 am and 10 pm seven days a week (Eastern Standard Time)!

Language Tutors

TSTN tutors are highly qualified. Some have several university degrees while many have won numerous academic awards and have also been recognized for their achievements outside of the classroom. Please note that not all of our tutors are listed here as tutors are not obligated to provide profiles. Please also note that all of our tutors are independent contractors, and are not employees or agents of TSTN for any purpose whatsoever.

Malak Al-Nahas

Malak is a French teacher. She completed her Bachelors of French language literature degree from the University of Damascus in Syria, which has been accepted by the University of Toronto. She has completed language courses in Arabic, Latin, French, and English and has a wide variety of experience in private, and public schools. She has been teaching French and Arabic for over than ten years in Canada and has lived in several other countries including Syria, France, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia. It is a pleaser to have her in our network.

Sonea Arutiunean

Having graduated from the University of Toronto with distinction, Sonia has been successfully tutoring French. Her major was Second Language Learning (French), a specialization that included linguistics, literature and teaching courses in French. Since learning French was not Sonia’s first experience with foreign languages, she possesses broad knowledge in this area. She understands very well the difficulties faced by students, and is ready to share her tips to ease the learning process.

Anne-Laure Bouvier De Candia

Anne-Laure Bouvier has possesses a M.Sc in geography and specializes in environmental sciences. As a French expatriate, she has however studied in Canada and worked in various countries in Latin America and Africa (Peru, Ecuador and Brazil), and speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic. Her strong yet varied background has led her to work as a researcher in universities (McGill and UQAM) and in engineering firms as an environmental specialist. In her free time, she is an international competitor in English boxing, and kickboxing (in which she has been part of the Canadian National Team for the past 3 years) and has brought back three medals. She is finishing her level I to become an accredited coach, and will start another Master’s in economics in the fall of 2009.

Ghada Chahrour

Ghada has a Masters of Science degree from McGill University. She is a highly motivated tutor with a great passion for teaching for more than 8 years. She worked as a teaching assistant as well as a research assistant at McGill University after her graduation in 2004. She is well known for her clarity in explaining the various concepts as well as her ability to speak audibly and keeping the student very alert and focused. She has the skills of making the student absorb the information with minimum effort from the student’s side.

Ghada , originally from Lebanon, also obtained the certification of Teaching Arabic for Speakers of Other Languages (TASOL) from Education Canada College. She teaches the Arabic Language to beginners as well as advanced levels. Ghada offers you the opportunity of learning how to read and write Arabic in a very short period of time that could be only a month long. Her interactive methods and skills will make you enjoy the lesson as you are learning it, and you will be looking forward to your next tutoring session with her.

Fabio Crespin

Fabio graduated in business administration and has been working for the past 10 years in the field of social economic development.  Fabio is fluent is several languages and has been tutoring in Portuguese (his mother tongue) and Spanish for the past years. Fabio is proud to have taught some students that have started from scratch and reached conversational level in a few months. Tutoring in a very relaxing and interesting manner is what Fabio considers his main asset.  

Suzanne Deliscar

Suzanne Deliscar is both a lawyer and a Spanish and French to English translator. A graduate of McMaster University with a Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Latin American Studies, with a minor in Science, Technology and Public Policy in 2000, Mrs. Deliscar went on to obtain a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2003. Mrs. Deliscar was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 2004, and practiced for almost three and a half years when her love of languages, and the pull towards her dream of combining languages of law beckoned her in 2008 to leave full-time practice and start a full-time translation business. Mrs. Deliscar provides tutoring services in Spanish, French, English, and editing services, as well as assistance in preparing for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). She is also experienced in translation and translation, particularly in the areas of marketing and legal translation, in the Spanish to English and French to English language pairs.

Mrs. Deliscar loves to travel, wrap gifts, flowers, and aerobics. She has studied in Chile and has participated in short-term mission work in remote British Columbia and Haiti, and has visited numerous other places around the world.

Aurelien Di Mambro


Aurelien is a smiling person who loves teaching and learning different languages. He is a native French speaker from France, but is also fluent in Italian and Spanish. Aurelien is always looking to improve himself, and is very patient and understanding with others!

Marie-France Raymond-Dufour

Marie-France Raymond-Dufour is a PhD Student in the French Department of the University of Toronto. She did her previous studies in several universities in Québec and had always been interested by feminine and autobiographical writings, as well as the links between Literature and Philosophy, beginning to the 18th century onwards. Since 2005, Marie-France is a Teacher Assistant for the French Department of the University of Toronto, and she works with undergraduate students of any fields (Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, etc.). Even if Literature is her field of specialization, she received a strong formation from the University of Toronto and others institutions in Québec to teach French Grammar. She is particularly interested in using grammar as a pretext to understand cultures and ideologies.

James Fanizza

James is a recent graduate from York University with a double major in Theatre and Italian. He is also a graduate of, and holds a Certificate of Proficiency from, the Università di Bologna in Bologna, Italy. He enjoys working with students of all skill levels and ages and has a passion for teaching and loves all things Italian. He understands what it is like to learn a language that is not your mother tongue and he is a patient and fun tutor.

Misa Fukukawa

Misa has completed a Masters of Education degree at the University of Toronto, focusing on Language Education. She is a native speaker of Japanese and has taught English, math and Japanese to elementary, junior high and high school students in Japan for 4 years. Additionally, she has over 2 years Japanese teaching experience in Canada. Currently, she is teaching Japanese at the University of Toronto. She has a National Teaching Certificate of English and Japanese. Misa is a very energetic, positive, friendly teacher. She enjoys language teaching, meeting new students, playing sports, reading, and travelling.

Chandlani Khadaroo

Chandlani is a native French speaker, language instructor and teacher. She spent fourteen years in a secondary school in Mauritius and also taught adults. Chandlani is very outgoing and patient and likes to meet people while also offering them the opportunity to learn and speak Parisian French. She is passionate about teaching and her major interests are Hinduism and literature. Chandlani is inspired by the philosophy of peace and non-violence.

Muhammud Tawfic Khadaroo

Tawfic is a native French speaker from Mauritius and has an Honours degree in French and English from the University of South Africa, where he also studied translation. With fourteen years experience as a French language and literature teacher back in his home country teaching students from middle/high school as well as adults, he has become an expert in French linguistics and grammar and a very good critic of French literature (mostly from France). He was also the Head of the French Department with academic and administrative responsibilities. Tawfic is passionate about teaching and always wants to learn new things. His areas of interest are French plays, reading and soccer.

Elise Morin

Elise is a native French speaker from Ottawa who is a teacher at a private high school in North York. She currently teaches French, Spanish and Geography to Grades 9 to 11. Elise completed her BA (Hon.) at Queen’s University in French Studies with a Minor in Spanish in 2004. She then did a Master’s Degree in French Literature at the University of Toronto and moved on to get her Bachelor’s of Education at York University before becoming a full-time teacher. Elise has worked several years with a wide range of different levels of French learners from kindergarten children to University students. She loves to learn new languages and cultures and is looking forward to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with you.

Irina Orlova

Irina is a professional foreign languages translator and tutor (English, Spanish, Russian majors, graduation with honours). She has highly interesting and valuable work experience in different spheres of translation and tutoring and strives for an individual approach in tutoring and translation.

Emily Rush

Emily is currently a teacher of French and English at a private language school in Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University, where she majored in French and English linguistics and minored in Russian language. She then completed her teaching qualifications (CELTA, Cambridge University) in Montreal. Emily has worked with students from all over the world, and loves to teach and learn new languages. Emily has worked as a tutor for over three years, and is very experienced in teaching French, English and linguistics.

Jona Senk

Jona originally comes from Slovenia, a small country in the heart of Europe, which borders four other countries that all have their own languages. That’s one of the reasons that makes him a tutor for German, Italian and also Croatian/Serbian language. He was born in Germany and has studied the language since elementary school, in total for more than 10 years. As for Italian, which he says is a passion of his, he has studied it for over three years in university. In both countries he used to live and work, which gives him a unique knowledge of the languages. As for Croatian/Serbian language, it was considered his second language, next to Slovenian (which is his mother tongue). He has also a MA in business and a BA in tourism and worked for many years in the tourism industry.  He also tutored languages from his "high school days". His tutoring approach is focussed on conversation, and he tries to give the students the understanding of the language, based on the grammar and the culture, which surrounds the language tutored.

Jeneefer Stanley

Jeneefer is a native speaker of Italian. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, where she majored in Italian and European Studies. She then completed her Masters of Arts in Italian Studies in 2008. In the same year, she completed her teaching qualifications (CELTA, Cambridge University) in Toronto. Jeneefer is currently a first year student at Niagara University where is pursuing her degree in Education. She loves languages and loves helping people to learn something new.

Christine Tetstall

After obtaining a psychology/sociology degree from University of Toronto, Christine began her teaching career in South Korea. After one year of experience in Korea, Christine returned to Toronto, and has been teaching both English and French to all ages for the last 6 years. Her passion and love for teaching make learning fun and easy.
