Nahid Ahmed
Nahid is a certified secondary school science teacher having completed her studies in New York, USA. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialty in Chemistry. She has over two years experience teaching Chemistry at the high school level. This included developing laboratory experiments that were carried out by her students allowing them to see real life connections to what they were learning in the classroom. Nahid has also taught elective science courses such as Topics in Science and Environmental Science for which she created the curricula.
Syed Barkat Ali
Ali holds (i) B. Sc. (Honors), (ii) M. Sc. (math), (iii) PGD (Operational Research), (v) Certificate (Computer Programming), and (iv) M. Sc. (Industrial Management). He has been teaching algebra, trigonometry, calculus, co-ordinate geometry, data management, auto-sketch, computer science, FORTRAN programming, discrete mathematics, statistics and probability at school to university levels for the last 37 years in different educational institutions around the world. He assures his students of high grades and full satisfaction.
He has prepared and administered admissions tests for (i) IBA, University of Karachi, (ii) BCCI FAST, (iii) Aga Khan University, (iv) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, and (iv) Hamdard University. He is an expert in preparing students to write SATs, GRE, etc. He may also be contacted for online tutoring. He is a REIKI healer also. Currently he is working on the World's biggest Magic Square.
Dr. Joydeep Chaudhuri
Joydeep has a medical degree along with a Masters
degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology. He also has
experience in assisting students who are preparing
for the GRE, SAT, MCAT and TOEFL exams. His training
in Cell Biology and teaching experience has enabled
him to provide students with opportunities for
in-depth studies and discussions of concepts
associated with biological systems, with particular
emphasis on molecular genetics, evolution, and
population dynamics. He is also familiar with
introductory principles of anthropology, psychology,
and sociology.
Jack Cheng
Jack is entering his third year at the University of
Toronto, specializing in Physiology and pursuing a
minor in Mathematics. He has an excellent academic
record, and possesses extensive experience tutoring
high school and first-year university students in
calculus and physics. He is also able to tutor
university students in other fundamental courses
within the life sciences curriculum, courses such as
physical/organic chemistry, introductory
biochemistry and intro physiology.
Anne-Laure Bouvier De Candia
Anne-Laure has an M.Sc in geography and specializes in environmental sciences. A French expatriate, she has studied in Canada and worked in various countries in Latin America and Africa (Peru, Ecuador and Brazil), and speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic. Her strong yet varied background has led her to work as a researcher in universities (McGill and UQAM) and in engineering firms as an environmental specialist. In her free time, she is an international competitor in English boxing, and kickboxing (in which she has been part of the Canadian National Team for the past 5 years) and has brought back several medals. She is currently doing her PhD in geography at the University of Toronto.
Gaby Edery
Gaby graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree
with honours in Kinesiology at York University. He
is currently furthering his education with a Doctor
in Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College. Gaby's academic strengths are
in science and health related subjects. He is also a
certified fitness trainer. He enjoys reading,
playing sports, socializing and travelling.
Elena Georgescu
Elena holds a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering for Robotics and Aerospace from the Polytechnical University of Bucharest where she worked as Research Assistant. She works as Research assistant at York University for the Laboratory of Astronautics and Space Research Technology. She has been teaching in public and private schools in Toronto since 2008 in different subjects, including Math, Physics, Science, French, Autocad and Computers. She upgraded her Chemistry and Biology at Ryerson University in 2009-2010. She is certified to teach in United Kingdom and speaks Romanian, French, English and German. Elena has a passion for research and science and she enjoys working with students.
Amir Gershon
Amir is an M.Sc. (Physics) candidate at York University, having graduated with an Honours B.Sc. from the University of Toronto with a degree in Physics, Mathematics, and French. In addition to his studies, Amir is also a certified Dive Master, an editor for a popular trivia website, and an avid photographer. With over three years of tutoring experience under his belt, Amir is adept in identifying the needs of individual students and tailoring the lesson to accommodate their individual needs.
Anastasia Greenberg
Anastasia Greenberg is a third year York University
student. She has recently been accepted into a
competitive specialized honours psychology program
at York for students with academic excellence and
research experience. She was a research assistant at
a neuropsychology lab at York working on memory
research. She has extensive knowledge of statistics
and research methodology. Math was always her
strongest field at school and she was at the top of
her class for math both in high school and
university. Both her commitment to education and a
passion for teaching has led her to helping children
and young adults strengthen their math skills.
Erin Marchington
Erin’s Masters degree in Environmental Chemistry has equipped her with the extraordinary ability to simply explain the most complex science concepts. Her additional graduate degree in Environmental Policy equipped her with excellent research and report-writing skills that she can pass along to her students. With years of experience as a university Teaching Assistant, Erin specializes in tutoring high-school and university level mathematics, chemistry, and sciences. Erin helps her students develop the skills and knowledge required to go on to productive careers in engineering, medicine and other innovative fields.
Dr. Shehnila Masud
Dr. Masud is a seasoned teacher with many years of clinical, academic and practical tutoring experience to her credit. She strongly believes that the only way to enhance and update one’s knowledge is by distributing it to the students. Her international experience enables her to develop a good working relationship with her pupils while her degree in medicine gives her the technical knowledge to teach a wide variety of students. She is well versed in all the modern methods of teaching and is comfortable in their use. She has excellent computer and communication skills. Her keen interest in current affairs keeps her up-to-date while reading is how she spends her spare time.
Santhan Ramachandran
Completed Bachelor of Pharmacy from Madras Medical College, India and entered
into teaching career, teaching the subjects Chemistry and Biology. Awarded
Master of Pharmacy by Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, India.
Specialised in the field, Pharmacognosy, study of Natural Drugs. Has nearly 22
years teaching experience in the subjects, Chemistry, Biology, Human Physiology
and Pharmacology. Services in education have been rewarded by various
Associations in the Society. International Integrity, Peace and Friendship
Society awarded the title ‘BHARAT JYOTHI’ and City Cultural Association,
Madurai, honoured him as ‘BEST PRINCIPAL IN PHARMACY COLLEGE’. Tamil Nadu
Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, India and Rajiv Gandhi University for Health
Sciences, India utilised the services by appointing University Examiner to
evaluate student’s performance. Pharmacy Council of India nominated as
‘Inspector’ to inspect the infrastructural facilities, provided by Institutions
conducting Pharmacy courses. Loves and dedicated the career for teaching,
interested to carry out Research in the field of Organic Chemistry and doing

Nayana Sant
Nayana has an extensive education background in mathematics and French. She has eight years of experience teaching math, French and other subjects to students of all ages. In addition to English and French, Nayana also speaks Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, and Sindhi. Sincere and hard work, she is always ready to help students with their studies.
Jennifer Sawyer
Jennifer is currently a Masters candidate in the Department of Environment and Geography at the University of Manitoba. She has an honors undergraduate degree in Environmental Science with a focus in math and chemistry. Jennifer hopes to continue her studies in a PhD program, modeling contaminated water systems. She has ten years of experience teaching swimming lessons and first aid to both children and adults. She has tutored math, general science, chemistry, and calculus at the junior high, high school, and university levels.
Saaqshi Sharma
Saaqshi has a Master's degree in kinesiology and health science from York University. In addition to her strong science background, she also has a passion for the arts including language. She currently speaks three languages and is in pursuit of mastering an additional two. Saaqshi has been a teaching assistant for kinesiology undergraduates and hopes to one day teach English in South America.
Ashley Spigelman
Ashley is currently in the second year of her Master of Arts degree in the Clinical Psychology graduate program at York University. Before entering into the Clinical Psychology program, she graduated from York University with her Honours Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology. During her undergraduate years, she received several awards for having the highest GPA in the Psychology Bachelor of Science program. She also received a research award from NSERC which allowed her to conduct vision science research at Toronto Western Hospital, and publish a study in the Journal of Vestibular Research. Ashley is currently available to tutor high school level science and math, as well as university level psychology and statistics.
Ke Yang
Currently in 3rd year undergraduate of cell and
molecular biology specialist at University of
Toronto at Scarborough, Ke enjoys spreading
knowledge. He started tutoring in grade 10, and has
been through all sorts of students, having
